Q.
What is NAVLAM Sandblasted?
A.
NAVLAM Sandblasted is a High Pressure Real Wood Laminate combining the versatility of a laminate with the elegance of a perfectly polished decorative surface.

Q.
Can NAVLAM Sandblasted be used soon after application?
A.
Yes it can, but during the first 5-7 days the manufactured product should be treated with some care. After removal of the protective polyester film the laminate surface still has to completely dry upon exposure to air, thus becoming a harder and more scratch resistant surface.

Q.
Does NAVLAM Sandblasted require a special gluing system?
A.
PVA Glue is what we recommend. Pay particular attention not to remove the polyester film that protects the surface during manufacture. When stacking finished panels, processing chips must be carefully removed from panel surface as pressure exerted through these could lead to bruising of the timber surface.

Q.
Is NAVLAM Sandblasted recoatable?
A.
Yes, it is. The NAVLAM Sandblasted surface is processed with several layers of clear polyurethane that if necessary can be smoothed over with 280/320/380 grit abrasive papers and recoated with acrylic polyurethane. It is not necessary to sand back to the timber surface itself.
